Nishta | Indian Classical Arts Society, UMass Amherst
It brings me so much excitement whenever RSO (club) organizations invite me to photograph their beautiful events. This time, the Indian Classical Arts Society (ICAS) from UMass Amherst invited me to their event, Nishta! I remember watching them perform at another event I was photographing and being fascinated! Before I knew it, they contacted me asking if I could be there to photograph their very own show. With no hesitation, I said yes! I did not doubt that this show would be amazing, but oh man, even these photos don’t justify how beautiful it was. The colors, their elegance, and everything else was watching art in motion. I was honored to photograph their show, and they so kindly invited me behind the stage. Behind-the-scenes photos are something I adore, as there is so much work and preparation that happens, and capturing those raw moments is one of my favorite things about photography.
To ICAS, thank you so much for inviting me to your wonderful show. I enjoyed every minute of it!
